ACDI MPC JOINS COOPERATIVE MONTH CELEBRATION IN TAGUIG
This month of October, cooperatives all over the world celebrate the Cooperative Month. In line with this, the Cooperative Union of Taguig and Pateros (COUNTPA), together with the different cooperatives in Taguig City, including ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative, shall be celebrating this special occasion with a series of activities lined up for the whole month.
And as a kick off activity, ACDI MPC, together with the twenty five (25) participating cooperatives, went to Baybreeze, Taguig in October 01, 2012 to join the motorcade led by COUNTPA. Even though rain poured, all the participating cooperatives willingly toured around Taguig City with their own dressed up vehicles. This was followed by a thanksgiving mass held at the St. Anne Parish Church, Sta. Ana, Taguig City.
The ACDI team also enthusiastically joined in the parade walk going to the Taguig Elementary School for the Lugaw-for-a-Cause Activity. All the students were briefed about the essence of cooperatives and how it can help in uplifting the lives of people. After the formal program, the students were served by all the participating cooperatives with delicious “Lugaw” for their snacks. It was such a fun and heartwarming day as all the cooperatives of Taguig supported each other and shared a cause with the celebration of the Cooperative month.
