ACDI MPC Conducts Aflatoun Training
ACDI MPC strongly believes that all children have the potential to take charge of the responsibility to deal with their own lives and that of others when given the opportunity to act and think independently.
Thus, ACDI-AFC Branch, in cooperation with NATCCO Network and Department of Education, conducted an Aflatoun Child and Financial Education Program at Benjamin Zoila Hall, Hotel Stotsenberg, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga last May 15-16, 2014 (Thursday & Friday).
The two-day training program aimed to help empower young minds to believe in their capabilities to deal with their rights and responsibilities and to make a positive change towards their lives and their community. The said training was attended by 50 DepEd representative teachers from Mabalacat and Angeles City who shall be taking the responsibilities to train the children the concepts and skills of social and financial education.
The training was facilitated by NATCCO representatives, Ms Lasalette Gumban and Mr. Rodolfo Villanueva with the assistance of ACDI MPC personnel represented by Ms. Evelyn B. Estrella, CLAO Head, Ms. Nayda T. Canita, ACDI-AFC Branch Head, Ms. Michelle p. Suganob, Marketing Department Head, Ms. Juliet M. Arquines, Operations Department Assistant Head and other ACDI-AFC personnel.
It was a great pleasure for ACDI MPC to be part of this program as it fully understands the need and goal of the social and financial education program for the children to ultimately break the cycle of poverty. Hence, it will continuously seek ways to help the young children to prepare for a better life ahead while still enjoying their youth.
