North Luzon Branches Host BCS and Consultation Meetings in August
A series of Basic Cooperative Seminars (BCS) and Consultation Meetings were conducted for ACDI MPC members hosted by four Northern Luzon branches. ACDI-Fort Magsaysay and ACD-SFLU Branches simultaneously held seminars in Cabanatuan City and San Fernando, La Union on August 18. ACDI-Rosales Branch hosted the next leg in Lingayen, Pangasinan on August 19, before the last BCS by the ACDI-Gamu Branch in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on August 20.
The seminars upgraded to regular status a total of 163 associate members, bringing the number of new regular members for the year to 313.
The BCS is required by the CDA for all qualified associate members to undergo before being upgraded to regular status. Participants are briefed on the concepts and development of the Cooperative Movement, and as well as the history and profile of ACDI MPC. Immediately following each seminar is a consultation with members, the objectives of which are to update the participants on the plans and programs of the Cooperative, and get their feedback and recommendations to improve the quality of ACDI MPC’s products and services.
