ACDI MPC Named Most Outstanding Cooperative in the Philippines
ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative won the highly-coveted Gawad Parangal for Most Outstanding Cooperative (Large Category) in the Philippines given annually by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). Hon. Orlando R. Ravanera, CDA Chairperson, formally presented the award to MGEN GILBERT S LLANTO (Ret), ACDI MPC Chairperson, during the Culmination Rites of the Philippine Cooperative Centennial Year held on October 23, 2015 at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay City.
Now on its fifth year, the Gawad Parangal for Most Outstanding Cooperative is the highest award given by the CDA in recognition of the primary cooperatives’ exemplary performance and invaluable contributions to the betterment of the lives of their members, community development, environmental stewardship and nation-building.
Prior to winning the National Award, ACDI MPC was earlier recognized as the Most Outstanding Cooperative for the same category at the regional level presented by the CDA-Manila Extension Office on October 16. ACDI MPC earned the recognition from the CDA with the former’s operational growth, service excellence, and high-value nationwide programs for social development which greatly benefited members, communities, the environment and other stakeholders of the Cooperative.
Winning this year’s Gawad Parangal is part of the growing testaments to the viability of ACDI MPC as a social enterprise that continues to provide exemplary services and meaningful contributions to social development and nation-building. To be the Most Outstanding Cooperative strengthens ACDI MPC’s resolve to be better as an enabler of positive social change and empowerment of more Filipinos in the country.
