Basic Coop Seminar Held in Butuan
A Basic Cooperative Seminar (BCS) was held in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte on May 26, 2016. Participating in the event were 51 associate members, who were later upgraded to regular status after completing the program.
ACDI MPC recognizes the important role of its members, and by regularly conducting the BCS will provide them a venue to maximize their membership benefits and at the same time, to deepen their knowledge and relationship with the Cooperative. The BCS also served as a platform for members to impart their insights, concerns, and recommendations which are necessary inputs in further improving ACDI MPC’s product and service delivery.
After the BCS, the Cooperative Health Management Federation (CHMF) was also introduced to the participants. Ms. Cecile Waga, CHMF representative, discussed the benefits of availing a health insurance and the various CHMF-accredited clinics and hospitals. Established in 2014, CHMF is the first Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) wholly owned by cooperatives. The Federation makes available affordable health insurance coverage for coop-members. ACDI MPC is one of the original cooperators of the CHMF together with 10 other partners across the country.
