BGEN LORENZO R SUMICAD is ACDI MPC's New President
After the successful conduct of the Annual General Assembly and Election for CY 2016, the newly-elected Board of Directors appointed BGEN LORENZO R SUMICAD (Ret) as the new President of ACDI MPC beginning on March 21, 2016. BGen Sumicad succeeds BGEN TEODORO P EVANGELISTA (Ret), who recently topped the election for membership in the Board of Directors.
Prior to his appointment as President, BGen Sumicad was an incumbent Director of ACDI MPC, serving halfway through his second term after being re-elected in 2015. His residency with the Cooperative spans for more than 28 years. BGen Sumicad started as a Branch Manager at Edwin Andrews Air Base Branch in Zamboanga City from 1992 to 1995.
The new President is a product of Class 78 of the Philippine Air Force Flying School. He earned his degree in Political Science from Ateneo de Zamboanga in 1976 and later took up postgraduate units in Public Administration from Zamboanga State University in 1987.
Outside of ACDI MPC, BGen Sumicad is also an incumbent member of the Board of Directors of the Digos City - based Consolidated Cooperative Bank as of press time.
Board of Directors Appoints Other Key Officers
Joining BGen Sumicad in the Top Management is Ms. Esperanza G. Cauyan as Executive Vice-President. Likewise, COL JOSEFINO P VIDUYA PAF (Ret) and Ms. Minpha Marie C. Samudio were also named as new Treasurer and Board Secretary of ACDI MPC, respectively.
