LtGen ROY DEVERATURDA (Ret): The New President of ACDI MPC (Turnover Ceremony 2015)
“Never forget who was there for you when no one else was” – a quotable line from LtGen Roy Deveraturda (Ret)’s first ever Powerpoint Presentation during the turnover ceremony of the new ACDI MPC President last February 15, 2015. He started it by cracking some jokes to make the presentation lighter and more exciting. It was indeed a funny yet meaningful and heartwarming presentation. He was humble enough to admit that without Chairman, he would not be in his position right now; without the people around him (personnel and co-workers),he would not be in his position right now as the new ACDI MPC’s President.
The ceremony was headed by the Chairperson MGen. Gilbert S. Llanto (Ret) and attended by the BODs, Ms. Glenda Lita P. Ersando, Ms. Esperanza G. Cauyan, Area Operation Heads, Branch Heads, Department Heads together with the Head Office’s Personnel.
MGen Jovito P. Gammad (Ret), the outgoing ACDI MPC president formally turned over his responsibilities and duties to LtGen Roy Deveraturda (Ret). The latter welcomed his new position with great optimism and vision in reaching new heights for the fast and continuous growth of ACDI MPC and likewise for the success of its members and personnel.
Sir Tito (as what they call MGen Gammad) was able to show how compassionate and professional he was in his position throughout his leadership. These qualities mixed with hardwork and perseverance made him as an efficient and effective President, might as well the reason why ACDI MPC became the leading cooperative in the country.
“The road to success is not doing one thing a 100% better but doing hundred things 1% better”- this quote left a mark in the minds of the people who attended the said ceremony. LtGen Roy Deveraturda (Ret) firmly believed that we can reach newer and higher heights if all of us will work harmoniously and productively. Sir Tito was expecting our all-out support to Sir Roy just like what we have shown to him during his term as the president. With Sir Roy’s leadership, there was an anticipation of more endeavors and accomplishments.
