Put on a Happy Face: Building Interpersonal Communication Skills
ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative recognizes that the development of good interpersonal communication skills among its personnel is invaluable at work. Last 18 June 2012, ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative’s Training Center conducted a lecture on Building Interpersonal Communication Skills at ACDI-Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base (MBEAB) Branch, Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu. The said lecture was attended by ACDI-MBEAB and ACDI-Cebu branches personnel and was conducted by Ms. Mereniza C Gomez.
The short lecture provided helpful tips for becoming a good communicator and team player. Four (4) interpersonal communication skills were brought up namely, (1) Effective Communication; (2) Assertive Communication; (3) Conflict Resolution; and, (4) Anger Management. Moreover, 10 ways to improve one’s interpersonal skills were discussed – and the top of it is to put up a happy face.
Aside from this lecture, Ms. Bernadette N Patañag of the Marketing Department was tasked to discuss the documentation guidelines to Ms. Early Therese B Vergara of ACDI-Cebu Branch, using DSLR camera. As one of the students of Photography Workshop conducted by Mr. Elwyn C Noche last February 2012, Ms. Patañag impart her knowledge and taught Ms. Vergara about photography basics, the digital workflow, and some golden rules in taking pictures or videos, in order to produce quality and high resolution images that will be used in various ACDI MPC multimedia materials such as its quarterly publication, ACDIgest, audio-visual presentations (AVPs) and even for the website.
Envisioned to provide high quality learning programs for the ACDI MPC personnel, expect more meaningful lectures, seminars, and projects from the initiative of ACDI MPC Training Center, A Key towards Excellence.
