ACDI MPC CONDUCTS FIRE AND SAFETY AWARENESS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION
On April 20, 2018, a Fire and Safety and Awareness Seminar and Drill was conducted to raise the awareness of ACDI employees on fire safety in compliance with Republic Act No. 9514 also known as the Revised Fire Code of the Philippines of 2008.
Ms. Juliet Saavedra, Head of Lending Business Line formally opened the activity. SFO1 Bernadette Zausa from Taguig Fire Department served as the resource speaker discussed the proper ways to prevent injury, protect life and safeguard important assets of the Cooperative when fire break out. Here are some of the practical tips in responding to fire situations:
1. Sound the alarm;
2. Advise the nearest fire station;
3. Fight the fire while it is small;
4. Evacuate Immediately;
5. Tell other occupants and neighbors; and
6. Yield to fire fighters to handle the situation properly.
A fire drill immediately followed after the seminar.
