ACDI-Gamu and San Antonio Branches conduct Health Literacy Programs
ACDI MPC remains committed to its health and wellness advocacies with its successful conduct of health literacy programs in Isabela and Zambales in March 2020. The activities have since been part of an ongoing initiative by the Cooperative to improve the health awareness and general well-being of its members.
ACDI-Gamu Branch hosted a Health Literacy Program on March 6, 2020 at Santiago Extension Office in Navarro Bldg., Villasis, Santiago City, Isabela. LTC William Joseph B Rigor PA from Camp Melchor F Dela Cruz Station Hospital served as the resource speaker for the health awareness of 20 participating members focusing on hypertension and diabetes.
Meanwhile, ACDI-San Antonio Branch held its Health Literacy Program on March 10, 2020 at the Holy Grounds Coffee House Sampson Rd., Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. Dr. April L Badere served as the resource speaker for 13 participants with a presentation focusing on common health problems such as arthritis and rheumatism.
Aside from the awareness campaign and lecture, the host branches provided free blood pressure check-up and blood sugar testing to the attendees.
