ACDI MPC CONDUCTED RELIEF OPERATIONS FOR THE VICTIMS OF TYPHOON ULYSSES

After suffering from the devastating effects brought by Typhoon Rolly, the country faced another powerful typhoon, namely Typhoon Ulysses, which resulted to the displacement of more than 500,000 individuals from affected areas and death toll of 73. The provinces of Cagayan and Isabela were among the heavily affected areas.

With the Bayanihan spirt inherent among the personnel of ACDI MPC, the employees residing in Enrile, Cagayan initiated a feeding program to help the residents from different barangays. Recognizing their cause and efforts, the Cooperative provided support by donating additional fund. A total of 2,600 residents from five (5) barangays were able to benefit from the program held on November 28-29, 2020. On top of it, the group were also able to distribute 900 hygiene kits.

To further provide assistance to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses, ACDI, thru its Pili Branch, distributed relief goods to 150 residents of Barangay Anahaw and Barangay Bautista from the Municipality of Labo, Camarines Norte on December 3, 2020.

These programs are part of ACDI’s Social Development Programs that provide assistance to victims of natural calamities.
