Turnover Ceremony for the Shuttle Bus Donated by ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative to the Veterans Memo

QUEZON CITY – ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative formally handed-over its shuttle bus donation to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) on October 5, 2021. The Secretary of National Defense Delfin N. Lorenzana led the blessing and turnover ceremony.

A Deed of Donation was officially signed by the ACDI MPC Chairperson, MGen Gilbert S. Llanto AFP (Ret) and VMMC Assistant Director, Dr. Franklin V. Gali. After which, Dr. Gali and Secretary Lorenzana received the symbolic key of acceptance from MGen LLanto and the ACDI MPC President, BGen Alfredo G Ramirez AFP (Ret).

The bus donation is part of ACDI MPC’s commitment to be an enabler and a partner of the Government in delivering basic social services such as healthcare that will benefit the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the communities being served by the Cooperative. In his speech, the ACDI MPC Chairperson expressed his optimism that the bus donation will help boost the capability of said military hospital in delivering prompt, reliable, and quality healthcare services to AFP pensioners and active personnel.

“Sa loob ng 40 taon, mga kapwa miyembro natin sa AFP ang nagtaguyod at nagpalago sa ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative upang maging pinakamalaking Kooperatiba sa buong Pilipinas ngayon. Kaya naman, bilang pasasalamat at pagsukli sa pagtangkilik at pagsuporta sa ACDI MPC, patuloy kaming nagpapaabot sa AFP, mula sa mga indibidwal hanggang sa iba’t ibang opisina at yunit...maging pinansyal man o sa ibang pamamaraan,” a grateful MGen Llanto added.

Also present during the ceremony were ACDI MPC Vice Chairperson MGen Artemio G Orozco AFP (Ret); Department of National Defense’s Undersecretary for Acquisition and Resource Management (USARM) Raymundo DV Elefante, Undersecretary for Civil, Veterans, and Reserve Affairs (USCVRA) Reynaldo B. Mapagu, and Assistant Secretary for Logistics, Acquisitions and SRDP Jesus Rey R. Avilla; and, representatives from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Mrs. Anastacia A. Hora and Mrs. Ermelina Racelis.
